Introduction

This privacy policy applies to Salone, an iOS app for beauty industry professionals developed and published by M Visuals Apps. Salone enables hair stylists, nail artists, and other beauty professionals to record and organize client conversation history to improve service quality on future visits. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how Salone handles information and how data is protected.

Information We Collect

Salone handles client information that users (beauty industry professionals) enter within the app. This includes customer names, personal profiles (hobbies, family, occupation, etc.), health and treatment notes, conversation memos, and treatment photos. However, M Visuals Apps does not collect or access any of this data. All data is entered by the user and stored solely on the user's device. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Third-Party Personal Information

Salone is designed to manage personal information about third parties (the user's clients). Beauty industry professionals using this app are responsible for the following:

• Obtaining appropriate consent from clients regarding the handling of their personal information
• Properly managing client data stored within the app
• Complying with all applicable privacy laws and regulations

M Visuals Apps has no access to client data stored in the app. Full responsibility for data management rests with the app user.

Data Storage

The data handled by Salone is as follows. All data is stored locally on your device via SwiftData. There is no cloud synchronization or server communication.

• Customer profiles (name, hobbies, family, etc.): Device only (local storage)
• Visit records (date, conversation, treatment menu, memo): Device only (local storage)
• Treatment photos: Device only (local storage)
• App settings: Device only (local storage)

App data may be included in standard iOS / iCloud backups. Backups are managed in accordance with Apple's security standards.

AI Features and External Data Transmission

Pro plan users can use AI-powered features (conversation memo organization, voice-to-text). When using AI features, the following data may be sent externally:

• Conversation memo text → Sent to OpenRouter API → AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI) for text generation
• Voice recordings → Sent to Whisper API (via OpenRouter) for speech-to-text transcription

Transmitted data is processed solely for the purpose of text generation and transcription, and is not stored by M Visuals Apps. AI features are optional, require a Pro plan subscription, and require explicit user consent before first use. Please be aware that if conversation memos contain client names or personal information, that data will also be transmitted. AI consent can be revoked at any time in Settings.

Permissions

Salone may request the following system permissions:

• Camera (optional): Used to capture treatment photos. Photos are stored only on your device.
• Photo Library (optional): Used to import treatment photos from the photo library.
• Face ID / Touch ID (optional): Used to enable the app lock feature. Biometric data is not accessed by the app and is processed through Apple's security framework.
• Microphone (optional, Pro plan): Used for the AI voice input feature. Recorded audio is sent to Whisper API for transcription.
• Notifications (optional): Used for daily visit record reminders. Processed locally on your device.

These permissions are used solely for app functionality. Except for AI features (where microphone audio is sent to Whisper API), no data obtained through these permissions is transmitted outside of your device.

In-App Purchases

Salone offers in-app purchases (Pro plan). All payment processing is handled through Apple's App Store. M Visuals Apps does not directly collect any payment or credit card information. For privacy regarding purchases, please refer to Apple's privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

Salone uses the following third-party services:

• OpenRouter API (AI text generation, speech-to-text): Used only with the Pro plan
• Apple standard frameworks (StoreKit, LocalAuthentication, WidgetKit)

We do not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Children's Privacy

Salone is not intended for children under the age of 13. M Visuals Apps does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
